EIFF lift off!
Hello there! It's been a while. Closing gala of GFF to be exact (the night of The Eagle - blah!). The last few months have been spent reading, and writing, about film festivals. So, what better way to revisit my wee bloggy than on the official opening night of a EIFF!
EIFF has taken a bit of stick from the press over the last few months. The new format, provoked by a significant loss of lottery and UK Film Council funding (although Jame Mulligan maintains it would have changed anyhoo), has had journalists scratching their noggins and penning naughty comparisons to GFF. However, in in my opinion the 65th EIFF 2011 programme looks pretty darn sweet. And, I'm bloody well excited by the reboot.
So here's my modest but well-formed schedule. I'll be blogging and tweeting throughout @kohlface
